Twenty years ago, we decided to act to reduce our environmental impact. We continuously adapt our ambitions to be both a responsible and profitable company.
In 2022, we decided to reassess our carbon reduction trajectory to make it even more ambitious and aligned with the 1.5°C scenario.
To honor our commitment, we have embedded it into the heart of our company culture, so that every Bel employee can proudly be part of the solution.
From Farm to Fork:
Because we want to go further and because our responsibility extends from farm to fork, we will continue to: Act on direct emissions within our factories, help our entire ecosystem reduce its emissions.
We are working with our partner farmers to implement even more eco-friendly practices. We are continuously optimizing our supply chain and acting to reduce the environmental impact of our packaging.
Together with our customers and consumers, we are fighting against food waste.
Moreover, as we aim to strike a balance in our offering between dairy and plant-based products, we have launched our plant-based revolution: a bold new step to building a sustainable company.
This ambitious initiative seeks to significantly reduce our carbon emissions while offering a diversified food portfolio by Keeping global warming below 1.5°C is only possible by:
Maximizing the reduction of carbon emissions
Developing carbon sinks to contribute to carbon neutrality across the entire value chain.
To this end, we have taken measures to sequester emissions by planting trees, protecting vital ecosystems, and developing agroforestry.
