An unusual birthday!
2011/09/29 - 250 fans of Laughing Cow to set a record in Holland
In early September, Bel Nederland organised a very special party for the 90th birthday of The Laughing cow.
More than 7,000 fans came to Duinrell, an amusement park located between Rotterdam and Amsterdam, entirely decorated as the world of the most famous cow.
On the occasion of this event, Bel’s team’s tried to break an amazing world record: gathering as many people dressed up as cows as possible in the same place! Under the enthusiastic guidance of a famous dutch singer Sita and the watchful eye of an official adjudicator, a new world record was set thanks to 250 ‘cows’ there, mostly children.*. This was a wonderful birthday present for The Laughing Cow®.
Pleased with such a success, John Smit, General Manager of Bel Nederland, declared: “We are very proud to have successfully set a new world record today*.
