Creamy magic The translation of Syrokrem is "creamy cheese". Indeed, it contains a large percentage of delicious cream. Bel bought Syrokrem in 2001 and began selling it throughout Slovakia. Soon thereafter television ads began singing the praises of the "cheese that's full of cream" and new packaging was launched.
In late 2005, Syrokrem became Syrokrem Smotanela ("smotanela" is a play on words with "smotana", which means "cream" in Slovak). Thus the image of an extra creamy cheese was further reinforced among the public.
Syrokrem has been the market leader since 2006 as it continues to win over more Slovakian consumers with its exceptional taste and texture.
In 2007, at a time when people are increasingly stressed (the economic boom in Slovakia is certainly one reason...), Syrokrem Smotanela invited consumers to simply take a step back and enjoy a private, pleasant moment for themselves. To this end, a new television spot was widely aired with the slogan, "Syrokrem Smotanela, the creamy moment in your day". This ad conveyed all the pleasure and magic embodied in this cheese.
