The Mini Babybel® family has never stopped growing since the brand was created. In 1991 all the great taste of Mini Babybel® was introduced in a lighter version (half the fat): Mini Babybel® Light joined the line. In 1997 a new Mini Babybel® added to the family, making its debut in the United Kingdom. Mini Babybel® Emmental is recognizable for its yellow shell, but its subtly fruity flavor that appeals to young and old alike is what defines it. Beginning in 2000, the most successful Mini Babybel® recipes were introduced in many new incarnations: Mini Babybel® Goat Cheese, Mini Babybel® Cheddar, Light Mini Babybel® Cheddar and Mini Babybel® Olive. Since 2006, Mini Babybel has continued to innovate in certain European markets by launching original varieties in limited editions that are updated every six months: Mini Babybel® Sheep Milk Olive, Tomato Basil or Gouda Cumin.
It's history
Mini Babybel Mini Babybel® was born in 1977 in France and caused a sensation in the cheese market. The public discovered Babybel® in an irresistible new miniature version that could be enjoyed any time and for any occasion. It was a true pioneer that, thanks to its many attributes, launched a new market for mini-cheeses. It quickly expanded to international markets. Today, Mini Babybel® is consumed in many countries; nearly three-thirds of Mini Babybel® cheeses are sold outside France. The Mini Babybel® line always adapts to local specificities. The cheese industry had struck gold !
