Karicka was born in eastern Slovakia in 1976. This cheese gets its name from a traditional Slovakian dance. It is a star in its country!
A unique place in Slovakia
Since the beginning of the Karicka adventure, pink has been the brand's signature color. This makes it possible to easily distinguish it from the packaging of other cheese products, which is usually blue. It is a high-quality cheese, whose success has never diminished from the 1980's until now.
In 2000 Fromageries Bel purchased Zempmilk, the local manufacturer of Karicka. The result has been a new growth strategy for the brand. Karicka is now omnipresent in the national Slovakian market: it is available in the aisles of every retail outlet that carries dairy products. It is a brand that promotes family and traditional values.
Since 2006, Karicka has been on a path to modernization and innovation. Its advertising no longer focuses solely on the singular taste of the product. It seeks rather to highlight its emotional connotations and sense of generosity. The slogan, "Mother's best", clearly plays up maternal love. This strengthens the relationship of trust with the consumer, who can enjoy a traditional product of the highest quality.
