Discover Gervais®

The history of Gervais cheese dates back to French Normandy of 2nd half of the 19th century. It was named after a famous French cheesemaker – Charles Gervais. By the end of the 19th century Gervais cheese became well known for its delicious taste all around Europe and even in North Africa. Nowadays it is liked for its harmonic taste and smooth creamy consistency.



Natural and Tasty
Gervais is a delicious curd-creamy cheese made from fresh ingredients according to a unique French recipe. Due to high curd content Gervais is healthy, easily digestible and contains less fat and calories. Thanks to added cream Gervais has characteristic delicious taste and creamy consistency. Gervais does not contain any preservatives.

An Everyday Cheese
The harmonic taste of Gervais fresh cheese is popular mainly amongst women. However, anyone who wishes to treat himself with something tasty but still healthy will appreciate Gervais.
Gervais is consumed mainly with bread or rolls, but it can be enjoyed plain or be used as an ingredient in the cold or hot cuisine. It is easily digestible so it can serve also as a quick snack anytime during the day.

Gervais brand and business as been acquired by Bel from Danone in 2007 in the territory of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary.
