An organization close to our markets
Cheese eating habits vary around the world, so Bel has identified three market types, that reflect those differences: mature, developing and underdeveloped.
Mature markets, have a long-standing cheese tradition, notably France, Europe and North America. Developing markets include countries in North Africa and the Near Middle East, where processed cheese is already present and opportunity for growth is significant. But there is almost no cheese tradition in undeveloped markets, for example those found in Asia and in some African countries whese much work remains to be done.
To support the Group’s drive for profitable growth, accelerate development for its international brands and build on its international standing as a major cheese producer, Bel has organized its operations into four geographical regions, including Western Europe, Eastern Europe, an International zone and the Americas.
