Bel

Organisation du Groupe

Bel is organized into into five geographic regions which ensures the Group's proximity to its consumers and also enables it to take a different strategic approach in accordance with the maturity of each market. To support the Group's drive for profitable growth, the management committee, chaired by Antoine Fiévet, a member of the Bel family, coordinates the Group's various entities and monitors the operational directions taken.

An organization close to its markets

As proximity to consumers is essential to have a good understanding of the needs and of the diversity of eating habits, the Bel Group is organized into five geographic regions: Western Europe, Eastern Europe, the Americas Asia Pacific, Great Africa and Near and Middle East. This organization favors our understanding of local markets and allows subsidiaries to act autonomously and responsively so that they can seize opportunities to support the Group's growth.

Cheese eating habits vary around the world, so Bel has identified three market types, that reflect those differences: mature, developing and underdeveloped. Mature markets, have a long-standing cheese tradition, notably France, Europe and North America. Developing markets include countries in North Africa and the Near Middle East, where processed cheese is already present and opportunity for growth is significant. But there is almost no cheese tradition in undeveloped markets, for example those found in Asia and in some African countries whese much work remains to be done.
